Testimonials

Will's resourcefulness, professionalism and creative passion was
invaluable to the film. He came onboard under a pressing schedule, as we were aiming for the Toronto International Film Festival. Based on our
initial discussions and my intent for the score, Will, in true collaborative
fashion, didn't just shape the cues per my instruction; he also took the
welcome initiative of using his extensive musical knowledge and regularly providing me with CD's and sample cues (both original and source) to help shepard my vision to its goal.

Will not only made the deadline with a completed original score from
scratch, but also far exceeded my expectations. Creativity was never
compromised by looming deadlines or a tight budget.

Without him, THE CUTMAN would not have premiered at Sundance 2003 or screened at the nearly 50 subsequent film festivals
worldwide, including an invitation to the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.
I recommend Will without reservation, and look forward to working with
him next year on the feature version of CUTMAN.

Working with Will was a wonderful experience. He was able to take our
ideas for the kind of music we wanted for our short documentary and brought them together to create a piece of music that truly brought life to our film. Without a doubt, we will be asking Will to help us with all our
future film projects.

Praise for the Rape Cantata

The way the words, the poetry and music work together is superb and it is such a delicate, honest, heart wrenching, and evocative performance...What a beautiful artist you are.

Playwright and actor in "The Tricky Part" which has toured through out the US.

Trauma often leaves us speechless, but Will Pitts has found precisely the right music and words to communicate the affective experience of despair, shame, fear, hopelessness and horror that comes with incest. "The Rape Cantata" will assure all survivors of two crucial things: one, they are not alone in their experience, and two, there is a way to get beyond shame. Pitts asserts that only pain and truth can heal such devastation, not denial, minimization, or flight. Wisdom for us all.
